SEG rejector / diversion unit
The SEG rejector/diversion unit is a multi-purpose device. It can be used to remove rejected containers from the packaging line or to divert containers into a specific lane. It can also be used as a diversion unit that performs well in sampling routines.
The SEG is a sequential segmented guiderail mechanism that consists of a number of individually controlled fingers. When at rest, these fingers are withdrawn, forming part of the production line guiderail allowing containers to pass; when activated, these fingers extend outward horizontally to form a guide rail for the container(s) to follow and be diverted from the production flow.
A special all-stainless steel SEG has been designed for use in high wash down areas such as dairies.
Like every product in the Mapex range, the SEG can be custom designed to meet the clients’ specific requirements. This system provides a best fit solution in difficult handling routines involving unstable containers or lightweight packages.
