RFID

Radio Frequency Identification tags are intelligent devices that can be embedded into labels and so on. Mapex Inspection provides tools to identify standard RFID tags as well as tools with read/write facilities.

Mapex Inspection has developed an RFID module for the VIS platform. This allows the inspection data to be written to a tag which is applied to the container. When this container is rejected (because it has such a tag on it) the data can be retrieved in lab conditions, allowing validation of the inspection functions.
