Label placement verification

Mapex Inspection can provide accurate detection of label placement to confirm the position of bottle or can dress labels.

Label placement can be achieved to better than the typical +/– 2mm tolerance in the X and Y planes. Skewed application can also be detected, as can flapping and / or trailing labels.

In the past the inspection had to be done where the product is consistently presented; however this is no longer the case and products can now be inspected in random orientation using advanced software techniques. The decision regarding the inspection zone is now derived from factors such as product features, inspection requirement, tolerances and space availability.
