Foam / fob detection

‘Fob’, ‘Foam’ or ‘Head’ is the effect that you see on a bottle of fizzy drink when you shake it up.

Fob at the point of filling has always been an issue for fill height detectors because most try to compensate for fob.

The Mapex laser technology recognises fob as liquid – we detect water molecules and fob contains water. We provide a second inspection channel to detect the presence of fob. This second channel is tuned differently to the main fill level inspection channel.
